Time was running out
Yet to see his face
There were too many passengers
I guess I’ll have to wait
Wait until tomorrow
Perhaps he’ll come ashore

Maybe I should accept
His sweet neck isn’t for me
His soft kind words
Are distant
Far from me

Yet dreaming is forever
These dreams are but mine
Not to be mistaken
For but my one true love

For even if he returns
And floats on in my way
My dreams will float above us
To live another day
